That depends on your metabolism, height, and weight among other factors. Mathematically speaking, for a person who needs 2000 calories a day to maintain their weight, that would be a deficient of about 1500 calories, if you're eating 500 calories a day. Since you need to burn 3000 calories to lose a pound of fat, even if you did not raise your activity level, you would lose a pound every two days, resulting in 28 pounds lost after two weeks. Unfortunately, our bodies do not work mathematically. Once you drastically decreased your caloric intake, you would lose some weight, then your body would realize that you're not getting the nutrients you need and start saving everything you eat as fat. Second, you would most likely be tired and dizzy and not get as much exercise as you might otherwise. Even if you could stick to this diet for two weeks, you probably wouldn't lose more than ten pounds, if that. Furthermore, once you start eating normally again, you're likely to put the weight back on again :( Sucks, huh?
You'd be able to lose more weight and keep it off if you added some vegetables and fruit to your diet, a cup of milk, some fat such as nuts, and ate four times a day to keep your metabolism up. So, by adding 500-700 calories to your daily diet, you would no longer be on a "starvation" diet, and would probably lose about five pounds a week if you kicked up your exercise a bit. So, by eating more calories every day, you'll be able to lose the same amount of weight as before in two weeks, and keep it off.
This may not make sense right now, but it worked a lot better for me than starving myself!
