crunches will build muscle but it you have a lot of belly fat on top of the muscle you wont be able to see it. You have to do cardio and crunches. See, cardio will help melt of the fat, while crunches will give muscle to tone. Plus, if you have muscle, the fat will start to melt off easily once you do some cardio. Good luck? I would say 300 crunches and 30 mins of cardio a day should give you great results……

You only need to do your stomach exercises twice a week.
The key to having a perfect body is 60% nutrition and 40%
hard training. Cardiovascular exercise like cycling, swimming, and the cross trainers will burn the fat.
Anaerobic exercise will build your muscle. Try to aim for
15 reps if you want to tone your body. 6-8 reps for strength.
10 pounds in 2 weeks is excessive, you should be looking to
lose 2 pound a week, otherwise you are losing muscle, this is called dystrophy. To lose a pound in weight you need to burn off 3500 calories.
To firm your thighs do leg extensions and always do your stomach exercises at the end.

one of the biggest misconceptions about working out is that crunches will get rid of abdominal fat. You need cardio, go run, swim, bike, etc. Crunches situps will, like someone already stated give you muscle and tone

Well you can’t lose weight in just one spot but with diet and cardio excercise it will help you lose fat all over your body, and if you continue doing crunches it will help with a flatter more toned stomach.
